Barnstorming Bangalore

The U.S. Consulate General, Chennai paid a visit to Bangalore recently, on a mission to meet with companies, business folks and students and to get a better idea how to improve visa processing and general trade conditions.

The first facts to be found were by design - traveling the countryside by bus.  Iowa, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, what's the difference?  Need you ask....

The well-appointed ride.  You could squint and see Iowa inside the bus.  Out on the open road, India style.

Sarah ripping into a snack.  They kept us well fed throughout the six-hour journey.  A herd of water buffalo in the suburbs of Bangalore.

Ah well, the fun couldn't last forever.  Broken down.  Asking questions, taking names, prepping for the Congressional Quarterly.  All better, back on the bus, time to get back to work.
