Relaxing At Wat Khun Inthapramun

The nice thing about Thailand is that you're never far from a Buddha. City or country, there's always a wat nearby. The fun part is seeing which style of Buddha is hanging out.

A few hours north of Bangkok is Wat Khun Inthapramun. The complex is surrounded by fields and you'll find few visitors during the week.  Laid back.

Their Buddha gets it.

The impressive feature? The bright orange robe. We're talking a major piece of fabric. On a big Buddha, outside, in the tropics. The dry cleaning bill!

Fine Figures At The Ancient City

Beyond the historical structures at the Ancient City outdoor museum park, there are plenty of sculptures and figures scattered about the complex. Some historical, some silly, all worth a glance.

March Of The Nagas

There's so much to see at Kumbh Mela that you'd better be prepared for the unexpected. While walking the festival one afternoon, suddenly the cops blocked a street for a special procession.

Make way for the nagas!

Nagas? They're a sect of sadhu and these gentleman are in training. Yea, they're devoted.

Their escorts weren't too friendly. Poke your camera where they thought it didn't belong and get ready for a stiff hit from a bamboo stick. This guy is getting ready.
