Bologna At Night

European cities have a nice aura at night, all dark alleys, hush cafes, dappled cobblestone streets. Time to head out into the darkness of Bologna.

The full moon is out over the Neptune fountain in the Piazza Maggiore area.

Sparkly tree. Civic drinking fountain.

"The rave is that way." Monument of the priest, Ugo Bassi.

Street light illumination.

Back at the Piazza Maggiore, the moon as strong backlight.

Night At The Amusement Park, Part two

Time to make another wander through the night amusement park, so much good stuff for the senses.

Just follow the arrows down for all the action.

Good mess. Rides scattered about, food destroyed and left. All satisfying.

Fixing stuff and bears crushing a foe. Busy.

Various transportation options. Bumping in the night or slow on the rails.

Back on the flood plain, an eerie, beautiful sight.

Night At The Amusement Park, Part One

Vientiane is a hot, tropical city and getting out and around during the day is tough. Once the sun sets, people emerge for a night of food and fun. There's a local amusement park right next to the Mekong river and it's a great place to go. And photograph.

It's there, just over the berm and in the flood plain.

Light and color, a natural attraction. Riders, human and otherwise, are welcome.

A world of sea.

Amusement or sly vocational training? Little digger attraction. Sink a ball, claim a beer. Tough town, tough game.

Romper balloon city.

Nighttime In Vientiane

Darkness falls and fun stuff emerges at night in Vientiane.

Outdoor fashion show featuring little kids. They grow up quick in Laos.

Streetlight of nothing, the Mekong and Thailand in the background. Laughing it up for Coca-Cola.

Night market stall, a two dog operation.

Toys for the night, water buffalo and glowing princess.

Frog mascot, trying to get motivated for the crowd. Tough task.

Stormy Skies, Noir Night In Ang Thong, Thailand

The stormy skies roll in quick in Southeast Asia, usually buffering the impending night. Time to check out a perfect example in Ang Thong, a few hours north of Bangkok.

Late afternoon, clouds ominously gathering.

Lights forced on early. The night market stays open, despite the uneasy sky. No rain, no close.

Antennas, unsettled.

Slices of night. A hairdresser window and power lines.

The closed clothes shop.
