Albany Convict Gaol

Gaol is a prison and the one in Albany was established in 1852, to house prisoners exported from England. It was turned into a museum in 1996. Plenty of characters have spent time in the gaol, on both sides of the law. The museum seems to relish featuring them.

Knotty guard.

Shifty prisoner and checkers playing, hirsute guard.

Dapper prisoner.

Women make appearances, freaking out, crying and with oblivious child.

They also do ghost tours in the gaol, some prisoners morphing into a whole other being for a different demographic. Scary.
