Ipoh has a nice collection of old British architecture and, for some reason, also has an Art Deco presence as well. Maybe it had a development spurt from the 1930s into the 1960s. South Beach comes to Ipoh.

Squint and it's South Beach. Porthole windows, concrete canopies, curves and fluting, all Art Deco hallmarks. Slap on some Chinese lettering and you're in Asia.
