San Francisco's Stupendous Salesforce Park

What an amazing idea, plop a hunk of rich green space over a big transit center. Goodbye smelly buses, hello elaborate landscapes in 13 distinct botanical areas. Ten years of construction with a budget of $2 billion buys some nice grass, trees and bus parking below.

Urban nirvana. The walking path with looming Salesforce tower in the distance. Good product placement.

Bus fountain by Ned Kahn. Jets of water pop in chasing sequence when a bus below moves past. One option for arrival is the gondola.
