Time to make another wander through the night amusement park, so much good stuff for the senses.

Good mess. Rides scattered about, food destroyed and left. All satisfying.

Fixing stuff and bears crushing a foe. Busy.

Various transportation options. Bumping in the night or slow on the rails.

Back on the flood plain, an eerie, beautiful sight.

Night At The Amusement Park, Part One

Vientiane is a hot, tropical city and getting out and around during the day is tough. Once the sun sets, people emerge for a night of food and fun. There's a local amusement park right next to the Mekong river and it's a great place to go. And photograph.

It's there, just over the berm and in the flood plain.

Light and color, a natural attraction. Riders, human and otherwise, are welcome.

A world of sea.

Amusement or sly vocational training? Little digger attraction. Sink a ball, claim a beer. Tough town, tough game.

Nighttime In Vientiane

Darkness falls and fun stuff emerges at night in Vientiane.

Bangkok Noir

Heavy humidity, a sudden downpour, glowing lights of the metropolis, all elements to add intrigue to night in the big city of Bangkok.

The metro and a religious altar, garishly lit by nearby buildings. The billboard that doesn't sleep.

Let's light it up!

Desert bling. Looking at the new outdoor mall shopping area, golden nest egg theater on the right.

A sign of celebration in front of the timeless Silk Road site, the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. Nayryz is a huge Kazakh New Year celebration, starting March 21. Modern mosque, the Masjid Khoja Ahmad Yassavi.

Glitzy fountains, funky mushroom lighting and a new museum in the new development area.

Preening park attractions, a welcoming gate and a memorial to past Khans.

It all comes back to the heavy of Turkistan, the iconic attraction, the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. Glowing.

Kuching At Night

Kuching is hopping at night - for a small town - mainly due to a riverfront promenade. It's a natural gathering place, full of food and strolling opportunities.

The town's focal point, the main Sarawak legislative building, across the river from downtown Kuching. At night, a dancing water fountain light show.

The newly rebuilt Indian mosque, levitating on the river. Kuching means "cat" in Malay and there are plenty of feline statues scattered around the city. Presenting, metal feline in blue.

Plenty of Malaysian Chinese live in Kuching and they come out for the mooncake festival every September.

Eerie flora, lit by color, lit by hotel blast.

Instagram spot. A giant, colorful Kuching sign is located along the promenade. No way to forget where you are.

Stormy Skies, Noir Night In Ang Thong, Thailand

The stormy skies roll in quick in Southeast Asia, usually buffering the impending night. Time to check out a perfect example in Ang Thong, a few hours north of Bangkok.

Lights forced on early. The night market stays open, despite the uneasy sky. No rain, no close.
