Home Medical Visits, Sierra Leone

For people living in rural areas of Sierra Leone, the best way to monitor health is through home visits. You know where they are, you can see their home environment and find them at their most comfortable. James was lucky enough to spend some time shadowing healthcare workers for an NGO as they went on village visits.

Time for a check up. This visit was to a man living with HIV. He also suffers from leprosy.

The rural scene.

Checking in with another patient, the matriarch of a family. Doing well!

Sometimes visits are framed as a social stop-by. Staying strong.
