Geelong National Wool Museum

Wool was/is a big industry in Geelong, Australia and it has a nice museum providing some history and showing off its proud sheep-shearing heritage.

Why we're here, behold the mighty ram. Curly.

Zombie shearers. It's a tough job, historically done by roving groups of pure blue collar workers. Notice the nifty harness, lock the sheep between your legs style of shearing.

A typical shed, living quarters for a shearer group. Spartan.

Wash basin on the ranch station. Textile machine, all heavy metal.

What it's all about, from stray hairs to smooth carpet.
