Fort Cornwallis In Georgetown, Penang

Once the British East India Company showed up in Penang, Malaysia, it needed a good ol' fort to protect its interests. The installation was erected by the end of the 18th century and never saw actual armed combat.

Brick rampart, canons and a lighthouse. The fort is a classic example of British Colonial architecture, just in Asia.

The ammo magazine and fish detail on a canon.

Play a Redcoat, if you wish.

Or colonial couple. Humble grave.

Where it all begins.
