Churches In Rural Lithuania

If you drive through any small town or village in Lithuania, chances are, there's at least one church. Repeated Russian occupation couldn't stamp out christianity, mainly of the Catholic and Russian Orthodox persuasions.

Circular churches.

Two steeples or one.

A brightly painted wooden church.

Baroque in style or made of brick.

Mother Mary looking on.
