The Vilnoja Stone Sculpture Park

In the small town of Suderve, about 45 minutes north of Vilnius, there's a beautiful sculpture park on the banks of Vilnoja lake. The place is a combination park/rec area, sculpture park and location for occasional sculpture symposiums. Vilnoja Sculpture Park was established in 2001 by Vidmanta Marikonis, when he invited eight sculptors to meet and talk granite. About 40 sculptures now spiffy the space.

The main building and one of the sculptures.

You can rent a cabin and enjoy the view of the lake. Little dock and island sculpture.

Sculpture.

More works, on the land and in the water. Rocky fingers.

Happy visitor.
