Staring At The Art Details At Venice's Gallerie dell'Accademia

The main museum in which to view art in Venice is the Gallerie dell'Accademia. Sounds stuffy. There's great art to see, a handful of Italian masters on display. True to its title, the Gallerie is traditional and features rooms of historical paintings.

Venice, a while ago.

The fun starts when examining the details of the large, historical works. Some rude pointing, some ruder child slaying.

Bringing things back to nice, a lovely manger scene detail. The animals, puffing holy breath.

Signs of a current problem way back when: begging and pet indulgence.

Sex always sells, maybe it helped move this painting. Nice touches by the artist, staring oafs and a costume designed to emphasize the curves.
