If you're looking for a good steak and a good bit more historic patina, head to one of Denver's oldest restaurants, Buckhorn Exchange. The place has been in business since 1893 and holds the distinction of snagging liquor license #1 for the state of Colorado. It's located in one of Denver's oldest neighborhoods and still looks like it did way back when.
Saddle up and head over.
The real attraction is the rich interior. All bordello red and overstuffed with trophy animals.
Bison, peacocks, moose, you name it, it's been mounted.
Don't forget wooden cowboys.
Two final looks at the place. Ironic: the animals get stuffed and then the animals stuff you.
