Stroll around the lovely boulevards of Milan and you'll run into several examples of Fascist architecture. How do you know? The buildings reflect the Fascist desire to use modernist stylings to exert their power on the public. Think Art Deco mashed up with ancient leanings, add in a little brutalist scale, perhaps a Workers/People frieze. Impressive, and chilling.
It's a shame that as one enjoys the beauty of the style, one is reminded of the grim motivations of the leaders behind Fascism.
