Ebola (Signs) Everywhere In Sierra Leone

While James was in Sierra Leone, the government officially announced the end of the Ebola outbreak. No cases, an Ebola-free country. Fantastic news and a relief to a country so tired of fighting an uphill battle to better itself. Visual remnants of Ebola were scattered about Freetown.

Billboards.

Stickers on all sorts of vehicles.

Life getting back to normal (foreground advertising), reminders of the recent, tragic past (background wall).

Warnings and instructions on walls. Nothing subtle about what you should do and what could happen if things go wrong.

An isolated isolation unit.

  1. Hi there! I have been following your blog as a prospective FSO, but I am also finishing up my undergrad right now. I am writing a paper for one of my classes on the recent Ebola outbreak, would you mind if I used one or two of your pictures for the paper? It's not going to be published anywhere, it is just for a grade.

  2. Welcome to world of the the FS! And glad you're enjoying the blog. Sure, go ahead and use some of the images that relate to your paper, as long as there's no commercial usage. Best of luck!
