Seeing An (Ar)resting Sight At Wat Photivihan

Probably the most famous temple in the Tumpat area is the one devoted to relaxation. Behold the giant sleeping Buddha at Wat Photivihan!

He's huge, 46 meters long, the longest sleeping Buddha in Southeast Asia. Kind of easily answers the question of where he sleeps...

Big details. The Buddha is a neat freak, all tightly coiffed and manicured. At this size, you know people are going to thoroughly check you out.

Full view.

And back view. Also found around the complex, a Buddha head in a box.

Big Buddha, big olde-timey looking postcard.
