What's baking in Lithuania

The summer in Lithuania isn't that long, but it does bear fruit, literally. Berries are coming to market and the baker of the house is taking advantage of the harvest.

The goods. And they are good, nothing like the jumbo plastic facsimiles that pass for fruit in the supermarket back home.

The Master, turning sweet into sweeter. The, ahem, fruits of her labor. Bliss!

Another look. The taste was even better.

What else is at the farmers market these days? How about fresh peas and mushrooms, another excuse to tart it up.

While not needing anything fresh to make bagels, James cranked out a batch in homage to being in the neighborhood for the origin of the holy food. Success!
