In an eastern neighborhood of Copenhagen sits a semi-autonomous region called Christiania. Imagine if Haight Ashbury survived and flourished, eventually wrestling jurisdiction from San Francisco to California.
Christiania started as a squatter hippie paradise in an old military compound around 1971. It still has a similar vibe with graffiti art added and a cannabis trade tolerated - for now.
It's obvious when you've reached your destination.
The graffiti is accomplished, as is the re-use of various counter-culture totems.
