The Medieval Town Of Besalú

Combine a river, a hill and a bunch of rocks and you've got yourself a recipe for a Medieval town. In Northern Spain, the necessary ingredients were mixed to produce Besalú.

You're gonna need a bridge, with a couple of gates. Check.

Winding streets with building arches, maximizing the real estate. A central church. Check and check.

Angel in a window.

Fine foods for the tourists. Fine flora, all grown in.

Back to the iconic bridge, the view when approaching Besalú.

  1. That bridge is gorgeous! With that brilliant blue sky behind and the water's reflection, I could stay there gazing for hours.
