In the old part of Hyderabad sits a major mosque, the Mecca Masjid. Completed in 1694 by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, the mosque can pack 'em in - to the tune of 10,000.
A couple of signs had us pondering: Who brings their car air bags to a mosque? OK, we can understand the pigeon sign. But don't signs usually tell you not to feed those pesky birds?
Evidently someone sort of thinks like we do, but this alternative feeding is not what we had in mind. Now we understand the sign.

ReplyDeletehey.. came across your blog looking for different types of mosques. lovely photo! and just to add ... the first sign about the bag.... that's a security sign saying you're not allowed to bring any luggage/travel bags in. except after being checked by security.
