A Trip To Bishkek's Osh Bazaar

If you're looking for the traditional market in Bishkek, Osh Bazaar is the place to go. Shop for dinner, sweets, maybe shoes. You can find what you need on proud display.

"Hello? How many carrots do you want?"

Some staples of Kyrgyzstan, corn every which way and chili.

Serious seller.

Limits to creative recycling. That's a cut-up anti-freeze container, now a scoop. Putting the rock in rock salt.

Another staple, fermented milk.

Seeds. Yup, you can buy the exact number of seeds you may need out of the little, white bags. Tower of fried dough.

Checking the day's purchases.
