Burana Tower, Kyrgyzstan

You want a major tourist attraction in Kyrgyzstan? The Burana tower easily makes the top five places. It's a minaret (Kyrgyzstan is a Muslim country) dating to around the 9th century. About 82 feet high, the tower is in a complex of mausoleums and grave markers. What's left of an ancient city called Balasagun.

Impressive.

Around the area, grave markers. Or homages to Mr. Pringle.

Visitor.

The place is for partying. Musician attending a wedding.

The happy couple and family.
