Historical Preservation Needed

One of the reasons a district is named a UNESCO World Heritage Site is to save it from imminent collapse. While Georgetown, Penang isn't about to be leveled, there's no shortage of structures fading away and in need of restoration. Although, an unrestored building in a decrepit state can have a nice patina, displaying its own unique beauty.

A typical block of shophouses, definitely ready for restoration.

A nice commercial building and side detail. An empty shell waiting for a makeover.

Sometimes time takes a building before it can be saved and all what's left are paint colors of vanished rooms.
