For Hindus, there are three to 300 million Gods to worship. In the land of the cobra, you know the snake gods are going to be included. Go to most temples and you'll find some sort of shrine to snakes. In Srikalahasti, there's a temple with an overflowing yard dedicated to kala, or King Cobra.
The yard. While it may look like a graveyard, it's quite the opposite, celebrating the life and power of the snake. The stones are placed under a tree where live cobras are found.
Details of the stones. The intertwined snakes represent the male and female sex.
