Sometimes it's nice to see an ancient monument that hasn't been restored. At Fatehpur Sikri, there's a section of the city that's been left to ruin, the old Mint. It's not much more than a large courtyard surrounded by arched galleries. With the sun setting and its placement next to bucolic farmland, the Mint, in any condition, was a nice attraction.
The main courtyard and a look through the arches.
A cart, maybe still picking off pieces to be used elsewhere? A peek through to farmland beyond.
