Pre-Planned Putrajaya

Kuala Lumpur is the capital, the big-daddy city in Malaysia. But back in the 1990's, with development and congestion pushing that city to its limits, the Fed wonks decided to move their offices 25 kilometers outside of KL to a new location. Hello Putrajaya.

It's a classic pre-planned city where fields used to be: winding boulevards, imposing federal buildings, not many people. Yet.

The skyline.

The city is on a river and they took advantage of that feature to play around with the needed bridges. Simple spans wouldn't do, pieces of sculpture were necessary.

Warning! Exclamation point ahead!
