Alley Living In Taipei

Tucked behind the streets of older sections of Taipei are mazes of alleys, whole high rise neighborhoods with their own architectural uniqueness and beauty. Let's take a peek.

It's dead end upon dead end, making a nice contrast to the orderly grid of the surrounding streets.

Life is busy in the alleys, a regular imitation of suburbia with plants, scooters and laundry to hang. On the right, an ode to Laszlo Maholy Nagy.

Alleys are thin and unpredictable. You try to make your front entrance as bucolic as you can.
