Streetscapes of Taipei

What does Taipei look like? Glad you asked. It's like any other giant city - blocks and blocks of office towers, decaying housing, wide boulevards and hidden streets. A lot of everything. Here are a few details.

Elevated metro running through a neighborhood.

The frequent battle of signs down many streets. The modern downtown, Taipei 101 ever looming in the background.

The entrance to a westside wharf.

City Hall. A restored building in one of the original, old neighborhoods, hemmed in by utility wires.

Another old gem, needing a restoration, Art Deco with classical columns.
