English is spoken well here -- and is mostly universal. It's also the "Queen's English," so sometimes signs seem a little stuffy to casual Americans. Here's a sample of signs that heed warnings of all sorts:

ReplyDeleteNo different than Baltimore-ese, Hon. My favorite Baltimore sign is on the SS Taney where it says No Smoking Gasoline. A little punctuation would have helped.
