Buying Into Bangkok's MRT, Part 1

The MRT in Bangkok is fabulous. Efficient, clean, reasonably priced. The best part? The ads!

Seriously, nothing like a giant train hurtling into the station completely covered from head car to tail car with one manufacturer's wares. The photo possibilities were too good to pass up.

A typical station, pre-train. Good advertising is present, but is only a warm up to what's coming.

And then the train pulls in, ready with its graphics and juxtapositions.

Lining up at the designated spots on the platform, trying to ignore the train arriving in the opposite direction.

A real and imagined life.
