Bicycles Of Burden

The most basic commercial truck in Nepal is the handy bicycle. Have wheels, will haul. As long as you can balance the load and still ride or push your bike, you're in business.

The most common user of a bike is the fruit seller. A couple of baskets go on back, one gets transferred to the center once you've stopped and, presto!, your store is open. The Nepali version of the Lower East Side tin/utensil carts.

Selling stools and mats. Hauling anything that fits.
