Paddling In Pokhara

About a half hour flight west of Kathmandu sits the sweet town of Pokhara, probably the most accessible area in Nepal to see the Himalayas up close. It's a lovely little town, situated next to an equally lovely lake called Phawa Tal. Tourists flock to the area where hotels, cheap eats and little boat cruises are in abundance. No matter, the lake is an unspoiled beauty, especially in the misty ends of the day.

Phawa Tal, always inviting.

Sarah enjoying a little boat ride. Other folks with the same idea.

Sometimes too many tourists are too much of a good idea - group discount on the cruise? Boats, bright colored toothpicks scattered about.
