Savoring India's Sangeetha

There are a few chains in India that are the equivalent of Denny's back home, a no-nonsense place to grab a meal from a menu featuring the standard cuisines of the country. A step up from street food, but nothing fancy. When you're craving a little South Indian coffee and a dosa, time to head to Sangeetha.

The unassuming joint.

The coffee comes and then it's time for The Pour. You get a dish to empty the hot coffee into and then pour it back into the original cup, over and over again to cool it down.

Bring on the dosas.

You get the rice flour-based crepe and a variety of chutneys for dipping - sublime.

All done? That's a banana leaf on the plate, a standard mat in South India. The minimum delivery charge is about $3.64.
