Oh right -- Madras Plaid. Not that we've seen a stitch of the classic preppy pattern. Everyone back home asks/jokes about the design, as if Chennai looks anything like Nantucket. As if... You want to rock a Sari or a Lungi, come on over. Madras plaid, ah, no.
But, the other day, Sarah was having some clothes made (which everyone does here) and we may have spotted the inspiration for that mish-mash pattern so many years ago.
Here's the tailor temple, complete with the usual horn-of-plenty supply of bright fabrics and patterns, the brighter, the better.
