Tilak Time

Getting a bindi (dot) on your forehead or other, similar, markings called "tilak," is a standard ritual at Hindu temples in India. The design differs, depending on who is applying it or which God you worship.

Typically a holy man will set up shop somewhere at a temple and start doling out holy lines. Central casting sent a winner. Just ask this little girl about the wonder of tilak application.

He takes some vermillion paste, some sticks, mixes it up and is ready to go. A satisfied customer.

And a pleased boy.
