Basking In Bamboo At Arashiyama

When you think of the exotic Far East, bamboo definitely comes to mind. Japan didn't disappoint, especially in the small town of Arashiyama, west of Kyoto. Nestled behind the sprawling Tenryu-ji temple complex is a beautiful, meandering bamboo grove. It's a popular spot to stroll and bike, and to stop and snap a few pictures.
