Shopping Mall, Nepal

No, silly, there aren't any shopping malls in Nepal. At least not ones that look like the US temples to consumption. It doesn't mean you can't shop, it just means it's more of a door-to-door, street-to-street endeavor. And no franchises.

You need eggs, see the egg man. A newspaper? Uhm, the newspaper man.

There are probably as many tailors in Nepal as there are Starbucks in the US. And also faster (cheaper, possible). This gentleman has his specialty - grey paper.

Nepal bling - large shiny pots. A classic dry goods stall.

Presenting, the dish lady.
